I will be running hour long encaustic workshops with pigmented beeswax. The tools you will be using are a hot dry iron and a heated stylus. You can use the time to explore how the medium works and enjoy experimenting and learning about this ancient artform.
 
All paper, wax and tools as well as refreshments will be provided. There will be a maximum of 4 people per session.
 
SAFETY
Please note that due to the nature of working with heated tools the workshops are restricted to 18yrs and over and all participants are responsible for taking care while working with the tools and are aware that there is a risk of burning yourself if you touch the heated elements therefore I will do a series of demonstrations and make sure the tools are used in a safe way.

 If you are coming in to Chagford from the A382 drive up the hill and you will see the
 Chagford town sign on your right. Shortly after this you will see Chagford Primary School on your right and a turning into a new housing estate opposite. Take the turning on your left called Turnlake Road and continue round to the right until you reach a T-junction. Turn right into Ellis Drive and you will see the business units straight in front of you, and a large car park on your left.
