I will be running hour and a half long encaustic workshops with pigmented beeswax. The tools you will be using are a hot dry iron and a heated stylus. You can use the time to explore how the medium works and enjoy experimenting and learning about this ancient artform.
 
All paper, wax and tools as well as refreshments will be provided. There will be a maximum of 4 people per session.
 
SAFETY
Please note that due to the nature of working with heated tools the workshops are restricted to 18yrs and over and all participants are responsible for taking care while working with the tools and are aware that there is a risk of burning yourself if you touch the heated elements therefore I will do a series of demonstrations and make sure the tools are used in a safe way.

The exhibition and workshop space is next to The Globe Inn. There is a public car park next to the Jubilee Hall which is a paid car park. There are free parking spaces on the road opposite the gallery.
